Managing the Trade Board and Time-Off Requests

Overview

The Trade Board lets staff post shifts they need covered and pick up available shifts. Managers review and approve all trade requests and time-off submissions from one central location.

Step 1: Access the Trade Board

Navigate to Schedule and click the Trade Board button in the top toolbar. This opens the Trade Board where all pending shift swap requests are listed.

Step 2: Review Shift Trade Requests

Each trade request shows the employee posting the shift, the date and time, and any employee who has requested to pick it up. Click a request to see full details.

Step 3: Approve or Deny Trade Requests

Click Approve to confirm a shift trade, or Deny to reject the request. Both employees will be notified automatically.

Step 4: Review Time-Off Requests

Click the Time Off button in the Schedule toolbar. All submitted time-off requests appear with their status (Pending, Approved, Denied). Filter by date or employee.

Step 5: Approve or Deny Time-Off

Click on a request to view details, then click Approve or Deny. Approved time off is automatically reflected in the schedule, blocking those dates for that employee.

Step 6: Monitor via the Inbox

All pending requests also appear in your Messages Inbox as notifications. Check the inbox regularly to ensure timely responses.
